Love God, Love Others

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. And, love your neighbor as yourself. —Luke 10:27 (NLT)

These two simple sentences are the most important instructions God has ever told us to do. In just a few phrases, Godsummarized the whole Bible.
We call it the Greatest Commandment—to love God with nothing less than everything we are. Second, it’s from this true, wholehearted love for God that we can live out a life of loving others as ourselves. This is the foundation of our faith. Really, if we can do these two simple, profound things, we’ll live a life that pleases God completely.

The Basics theme was really close to being called the Core theme. But at the last minute, God spoke to us while we ate at Basic Pizza in the East Village neighborhood of San Diego… We had settled on the verse and on the concept, but we finally settled on The Basics at Basic, and we are so glad!

We loved the vibrant blues, purples and greens in this theme. And the hexagons, boy, were there lots and lots of hexagons! But maybe the most favoritest MA Gear was the bag. It was modeled off of a vintage vinyl PanAm airline carryon bag from the 1960's. And it was gorgeous.
