Lazarus
Wake Up Dead Man
The 2007 theme came from John's account of the resurrection of Lazarus. Our goal was to show the kids that many people are entombed by sin and its effects, but that we can be a part of Jesus calling the dead out of their graves. As you can see, we were heavily influenced by straight-ahead, four on the floor, rock and roll! The kit came in a metal lunch box with a sweet plaid pattern and a totally rockin' Mission Adventures logo embossed on it. We upgraded the tee shirts for this year's theme. We used premium grade garments with a softer and tighter weave. The idea was to make the shirt look and feel like one of your older brothers' concert tee shirts. The students also received a sheet of stickers to customize their lunchbox and journal. And of course, what's a rock and roll theme without those little one-inch badges (aka buttons).
To go along with the rock and roll influence, we issued a Commitment Poster for 2007. (It even came in it's own tube so it would survive the trip home). The Commitment Booklet came with a brand new Great Commission Challenge card that was designed to be saved in the student's wallet.
