Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

Molt, Morph & Multiply

Inspired by Asian popular culture, our Metamorphosis theme referenced bullfrogs, butterflies, and giant Japanese transforming robots. We used this amazing natural process as a metaphor for the Christian life of being transformed by God's presence, and then being a transformer for the whole world!

We did another audio disc, and we even got to pick a few of the songs this time. The record company liked our artwork so much that they asked us how we did it. We said it was an ancient Chinese secret.

We used a new two-color technique inside the MA Magazine. It made the guts look almost full-color, but it was a real pain to use. We made both orange and blue shirts and they featured glow-in-the-dark ink! The shirt with the "Escher-esque" tesselating pattern was never printed. (Sorry, Wayne!)

We made our own customized Disco Bible! We designed the cover of a New Testament and called it the "Metamorphosis Manual" the Bible company liked it so much they printed zillions of them and distributed them all over the place.

The Metamorphosis Name Tag is a good example of the two-color printing process. This one used orange and blue ink to create a whole range of tones.
